I am in college (IST Major). I need to get a part-time job. I'm thinking about getting a work study job at my school with the IT department, or getting an unarmed security guard job. What would be better for me? I want to become a police officer after I finish school.

Both would be good, but I would take the job with the IT department. Computer skills are extremely marketable! Learn everything that you can about computers. Computer skills are very marketable in practically all career fields.
