To be a Conservation Officer with the Kentucky Department of Fish and Wildlife Resources, you must be at least 21 years of age, possess a valid driver’s license, and complete a state application.
An applicant must meet the minimum requirements of four years of experience working in wildlife resources, agriculture, natural resources or recreation. Experience in sworn law enforcement that includes making arrests for criminal activity and conducting criminal investigations is also acceptable.
Education requirements: Bachelor’s degree in the biological sciences, natural sciences, agriculture, recreation, law enforcement or equivalent will substitute for the experience. No special requirements or experience.
If you are selected, you would then have to complete 42 weeks of training provided to you.
