i am 18 no and i am really wanting to become a police officer but i am not sure if my past will DQ me. i have had three tickets but all dismissed and i got arrested for stealing but i was 16 and that is differed. i have really turned around sense then and am wanting to get my AA in aw enforcment but dont want it to be a waste of time.

Yes, as Sal wrote, you can eventually become a police officer. Consider earning a four year degree!

As other posters have indicated, stay out of trouble, and get as much college as you can. Stay focused.

If you're worried about becoming a police officer, think about getting a degree in something other than law enforcement. That way you have something to fall back on. Most police departments don't care if your degree is law enforcement. Good luck!
