Hi, When I was 13 i got into a fight with my moms bf. i was charged with agg assault per DV and discon. I never went to court, never paid fines, and the most i had to do was sit in a juvy court for an hour and take notes on cases. The guy I talked to then said it would never impact my future career choices but looking at departments it seems like it might. Ive been an explorer for 4 years, part of the Trauma intervention program for 3 years, and never been in trouble except that.(not even tickets or warnings) Do you think this will stop me from being a police officer?

Thanks!

I don't think you have anything to worry about. I don't think that you were actually "convicted" of a crime of domestic violence.

Yeah, it does sound like you weren't convicted.
