is it necessary to graduate with a degree in psychology or criminal justice to be accepted into many police academies?

No. You don't need a college degree in anything to be accepted into some police academies.

Max116 is correct. You do not need a degree at all to be accepted into many police academies. What state are trying to attend a police academy in?
