i tried x once when i was 18 and have smoked weed many times.
i have been clean for about 2 years and am in the process of earning a degree in criminology.
chances of getting hired as a police officer?
what is the difference between a sworn in job and a non sworn in job?

Based on what you wrote, some departments would still consider you at some point. The more time that passes from when you last used, the better you chances will probably get. To be a police officer, you must be a sworn officer. Non-sworn jobs can be support positions such as dispatchers, secretaries, records specialists, IT specialists, etc.
