If the citation is dismissed, it won't show up on your driving record, but the background investigator could still find out about from other sources such as from the police department that issued the citation.

As far as I know, if a citation is dismissed, there is no record on your driver history.

You should tell your background investigator about they citations even if they aren't on your driving record just in case he finds out some other way. You can get a copy of your driving record from your state.
