I was wondering which states/departments in them allow you to join the academy at 18? I am 19, and live in SC, but I don't want to wait till I'm 21...Can you help me?? Thanks! Sam

Georgia? Would it be possible to go through the academy in Georgia, but then transfer as a police officer to SC??

I think that you have to be at least 21 before you can be a police officer in South Carolina.

It is best to wait until you are at least 21. In the meantime, go to college!
