Hi everyone, what are some good questions to ask on ride alongs? Should there be any differences in questions if it's a smaller town? Is there anything you should know beforehand when you go on a ride along? Thank you!

Do you like being a police officer?
What do you consider the biggest downside of the job?
Is there another department in the area that you would rather work for?

There are many good questions you could ask. Take advantage, and ask as many as you can.

Make sure you understand and follow any rules or guidelines that they give you about participating in the ride along!

Ask the same questions regardless of the size of the town. The questions will probably still be good ones. The answers just might be different. I used to take students on ride alongs for my old department. I enjoyed it.
