| Say when you take the lie detector test, and they ask you a question but you don't remember if you've ever done it or not what would you say? If you dont know the answer to something what should you say? |

| Before the test, they will go over the questions that they are going to ask you during the test. Most of the time, you will know the correct answer. If you actually can't remember for sure, tell the examiner that. If that response is deceptive, the test will usually indicate so. |

| Yeah, if you tell them that you can't remember, they might ask you "Can you remember ever doing..."? If you're trying to omit something, they will usually be able to pick that up, and you won't pass. |

| Definitely answer to the best of your ability. Just be honest. If they think you might be lying, you won't get hired! |

| When you take a lie detector test, you shouldn't worry about anything. The people that do the tests are normally VERY good at what they do. All you have to do is relax, follow the examiner's instructions, be 100% honest, and answer the questions to the best of your ability. |

| Agencies use the polygraph test to interrogate their candidates into answering questions that are none of their business. Just get the manual that teaches how to cheat on the test. They will never catch you if you do it right.
Only admit to things that are public record, are well known by people they are likely to question about you, or things that are juvenile stuff like small confessions.
Law Enforcement Agencies are really something else, they try to tell you how important it is to be totally honest, and yet they lie to you by saying the polygraph examination is a useful tool and they will know if you are lying. They should definitely be illegal but for some reason are not. |

| Questions about a candidate's background are DEFINITELY an agencies business if they are thinking about hiring the candidate. Agencies want people that are honest AND have not committed any serious offenses! They don't want dishonest people, and they don't want honest felons. It's as simple as that. |

| Lie detector tests work for most people. They aren't %100 but they are a good investigative tool. |

| The reason that the lie detector tests work is because people believe they work.
Just remember one thing when you are going to your test..... THE EXAMINER IS NOTHING MORE THAN AN ACTOR!
He is just gonna interrogate you and try to convince you that the machine works, but it doesn't. Half the people that take the test will fail it even if they tell the whole truth, and many people will pass even though they lie.
It just records psychological responses. A person can have a psychological response to anything. So just a good rule of thumb is only make minor admissions to be on the safe side and anything they can't find out that you don't want them to know, don't tell them.
They have no business knowing that much information about you.
If they have all these private investigators searching you background, ask your friends, neighbors, old teachers, and past co-workers all this stuff about you, than they already know what they need to know, the polygraph is just a tool to see what they can get you to admit to, nothing more. Any cop who says that you won't pass the test just because you lie is wrong.
If there is anything that would potentially disqualify me would I admit it? HELL NO! and you shouldn't either. |

| The polygraph is a tool used to determine how honest a candidate is. They don't want dishonest cops |

| Actually I disagree.
They don't want to hear the truth, they want to hear you tell the modestly that you are the best candidate for the job.
The polygraph is a tool to see what meaningless thing they can get someone to admit to.
They should soon be banned for good. I'd like them to make an amendment to the constitution banning all polygraph tests including for pre-employment tests. |
