What are some of the things that can prevent you from becoming a police officer?

There are several things that can stop you from becoming a police officer. Here are a few. If you've committed a serious crime(s), if you have been convicted of a felony, if you don't have a driver license, and if you can't pass any of the tests.

Oh yeah, not being honest on applications or during the lie detector test is also a big one!

You can also be disqualified if you've been convicted of certain misdemeanors such as domestic violence convictions. If you've stolen anything recently, you won't get hired. Using illegal drugs prevents many people from becoming police officers. Especially if you've used them more than what would be considered "experimental" or if you've used hard drugs. Lying during interviews or polygraph tests eliminates many people!
