What majors will give me the best shot of getting into maybe federal or local police departments? I would love to be a Federal officer but I'm not sure which degree would fit there's a lot of degrees like accounting, criminal justice, corrections, law. I just need to know which degree will look better.

Accounting, a foreign language, or computer science.

I am applying in December for police office positions and I've been
wondering about the same exact thing for a while. For a while, I
thought that criminal justice is the best degree you can have, but
that doesn't seem to be the case. The truth of the matter is, it
doesn't really matter which degree you have. The only reason that
it is good to have a degree is because it shows committment and the
fact that you are able to follow through with things.

But any degree is good. I am sure that some degrees might be as
useful such as theater or something like that.
But here are examples:
Criminal justice (good because that's the career you are getting into),
information technology (good because computers are everywhere),
english (good because officers have to fill out a lot of reports),
etc....

I've spoken with police officer about this for a while and they recommend
to go to school for whatever interests you. Most degree will be
appropriate.

Law is always a good choice

Yeah, you can't go wrong with a law degree!
