Want to become police officer . I Went to college from 86-90 got degree am now 42. My credit is ok, but have student loan from 86 that was never paid off (fl. dept of education) This loan does not show up on my credit report from the 3 CRA's. Question is will this show up on background check done by L.E. Agencies?

Agencies might find out about it. If it doesn't show up on your credit reports then it shouldn't be a problem for you. If you haven't made payments per an agreement, hopefully you have a justifiable or understandable reason why.

They could find out. If they do, and the account is delinquent, if could hurt your chances of getting hired. If you haven't been holding up to your end of the deal, contact them, and make arrangements to start paying.

Just be honest about it.
