I've been trying to get a full-time police officer job for 2 years now. I'm thinking about moving south or west to try to get a job. Do you think it would be worth it?

I wouldn't move for a job unless you've already been offered a position unless you want to move anyway.

If you think you have a good chance of getting hired it might be a good idea for you to move. But I would explore your options and do as much research as you can before you move. If you have an in or know someone that can get you a job then go for it. Maybe you have someone or someplace you can stay already arranged. Police jobs are difficult to get in most areas right now. Moving may or may not be the answer.

Don't bother moving unless you have a job offer already. There aren't many jobs out this way either!

Dude, don't do it! I moved to Florida almost 2 years ago to try to get a police job. I haven't had any luck getting one. I know Florida isn't west, but I would make sure you have a job offer BEFORE you move!
