I really want to become a police officer ..that's my career of choice but I've been arrested for graffiti before misdeamonors...will this disqualify me?? I graduated high school and I'm currently In college..I'm 18 years old ..any help? Please

You would likely be disqualified by some departments and be able to get hired by other ones. How many times have you been arrested?

I've been arrested 2 times..once when I was 14 and once when I was 18

The arrest at 18 will hurt your chances more. Where you convicted? I don't think you'd get hired for 5 or more years. You never know though.

Yes I was..but I've seen people apply for police jobs when They've been charged with theft and other things..all I did was writing on a wall:( being immature and dumb..I talk to like 3 cops and they said I'll be fine as long I as I stay out of trouble for now on.

You probably won't be able to get hired for another few years anyway. Most departments try to hire candidates that are 21 or older.

YOU COULD GET HIRED, BUT HAVING ANY RECORD CAN MAKE GETTING HIRED MORE DIFFICULT. THERE IS MUCH COMPETITION FOR POLICE JOBS!
