I made a big mistake I smoked weed once didn't even smoked it right. I went to talk to a background investigator and told him the truth about my one time mistake, he told me to come back in two years. I'm 21 do I still have a chance to be a corrections officer?

Yeah, once won't keep you from getting a job. But many agencies will make you to wait a few years before they will hire you. Stay away from the weed.
